The chenille stems are the real win here — they actually fit through the drill hole and get it properly clean, which I didn't manage with a pipe cleaner. The hemp string is sturdy too and stays tied.

Wasn't sure I needed the full 8 feet of string until I realized how much slack makes retrieval easier. The hemp is soft and doesn't fray like the cotton I tried before. Five chenille stems is plenty, and they actually fit the drill hole without shedding.

The cleaning stems are a lifesaver—I was struggling to get the inside of my egg properly dry before, but these reach right through. The 8 feet of string gives plenty of extra for re-stringing whenever I need it, which I didn't expect.
